We’re a martial arts gym dedicated to making self-defense training personal, approachable, and real.

At ATX Tactics, we make self-defense personal and approachable. We believe simple is safe — our training methodology equips students to build comprehensive self-defense skills to protect against common, realistic threats. The goal is to build core fighting skills and repeat high-percentage tactics that can be performed under stress. Our self-defense instructors are all long-time coaches who will work with you to help you feel empowered, confident, and safe — in a way that works for your body and the priorities that matter most for your own personal defense.

What will you learn?

The backbone of what we teach is modern Krav Maga. Krav Maga is a martial arts system synonymous with self-defense. Our approach to Krav Maga is unique in that it incorporates modern elements from other combat sports like boxing, jiu-jitsu, and MMA. Many aspects of competitive combat sports have evolved rapidly in the last decade, and we feel passionately about bringing these innovations into Krav Maga to make it a more updated fighting system for self-defense.

Join our weekly women’s self-defense class in Austin, Texas. A safe and supportive environment to practice common self-defense issues faced by women. Every Saturday afternoon. This class is taught by a certified trauma-informed instructor.
